Villa Sartini, Las Vegas, NV

Designed for a Las Vegas casino owner, this home draws on unique local resources. Many specialized craftsmen have landed in Las Vegas due to the abundance of work in high-end resorts. In this project we had the pleasure of utilizing the talents of many local artisans: an artist executed canvas panels for the great room ceiling, woodworkers deftly distressed heavy beams, and an ironworker from France (credited with restoring the art nouveau Paris Metro entrances) created a beautiful grill for the entry transom as well as interior and exterior balustrades. The carved stone entry is also a product of expert local craftmen.  This home was conceived as a classic Italian villa for a young and growing family. With the availability of local talent we added a level of detail that would be difficult to duplicate in any other city.
