This is one of the first buildings I designed as a young pup in architecture. Working as an intern for Blake Wirth & Associates I was assigned a small office building on a limited budget. It was the first job tossed to me when hired. Since cost was the primary concern, the design uses ordinary building materials — brick and glass — in a way that is efficient but creative. It gave a modest “spec” building a little bit of flair without breaking the budget.
