Ocean View House, Malibu CA

This is one of two homes we designed for contiguous sites on the Pacific Coast Highway. Note the “notch” in the front elevation which preserves a fifteen-degree view corridor towards the ocean for an existing uphill home. That is one zoning requirement (of many) for developing land along the California coast.

Note: Our second Malibu project is illustrated under “Classic” architecture.

Front elevation. This is the uphill, entry side of the plan. Note the “notch” in the elevation to allow a fifteen-degree view of the ocean for a neighboring uphill lot.
Rear elevation. This is the view side of the house, with multi-level terraces, connecting arcade to the guest house, and pool.
