This house was designed for a helicopter pilot who wanted a rooftop landing pad. The house was built, but not in the form originally designed. However, it does occupy a location with some notoriety. The site is adjacent to the famous Sleeper House* from the eponymous Woody Allen movie. Our first pre-design site visit was via helicopter, landing on the front lawn of the Sleeper House. Fans of the sci-fi comedy will appreciate how surreal this felt.
*The futuristic Sleeper House was designed by Charles Deaton in 1973. It is also known as the Sculptured House.
